About
My Quilting Journey...
- I learned to sew from my mom in 4H in Indiana around 1975
- Mom bought me my first sewing machine in April of 1996
- Around 2002 I asked my friend to teach me how to quilt so I could make a quilt with my girl scout uniforms
- I started a primitive table runner and my girl scout quilt with her help
- Fast forward to March 2020, I took a t-shirt quilt class and my first class at Show-Me Quilting in Raytown, MO and made a t-shirt quilt and a queen sized quilt in patriotic fabrics from my mom's stash
- February 2021 I had my queen size quilt finished and March 2021 the t-shirt quilt finished
- After realizing how much it cost to have a quilt finished I decided to start saving for my own long arm quilting machine
- January 2022 I put a down payment on an A1 31" long arm quilting machine
- I wanted to be able to afford my long arm with the money I'd saved and knew if I wanted to do this after retirement I'd have to buy the machine while I was employed
- March 27th, 2022 my dream came true...my A1 machine arrived
